New Ocelots Discovered In South Texas

If you’re not familiar with Ocelots, allow us to give you a crash course in this incredible species. They are small creatures, weighing less than a jaguar. However, if you looked at one, you may think that it is a jaguar because it has unique spots.

Ocelots are native to South America as they prefer a warm, tropical climate. As such, some of these cats exist in the Southern US, in places such as Texas. They can also be found in parts of Mexico and Central America.
