Taryn says Faline thought she was a dog. She would bump at the door when she wanted to be let in the house; a common occurrence for Faline's cozy naps.
Faline regularly played with the family's goats and even enjoyed splashing in the pool with Taryn’s 8-year-old son.
But a Facebook post about Faline alerted local police to the situation and they soon visited the property to issue a citation.
Kim Mcgaughey had inadvertently violated the law by allowing the animal in the house without Kansas state domestic deer breeder or wildlife rehabilitation permits.
Taryn documented the visit on video. The game warden explains to the family that shooting Faline in the head is humane (though clearly unnecessary) before following her around the yard. One shot rings out before Taryn breaks down sobbing and stops the recording, though she says the warden shot Faline four more times.Source: Offgridquest | Gofundme
